Technical requirements and inspection of butt welding elbows

1. The material of the butt welding elbow is GB/T5312-1999 "Carbon Steel and Carbon Manganese Steel Seamless Steel Tubes for Ships", and other materials can also be selected according to user requirements.
2. The materials of the butt welding elbow must have a quality certificate, and re-inspection should be carried out according to the requirements of relevant standards and specifications, and they can be used only after they are confirmed to be qualified.
3. When ordering, the two parties negotiate to increase the inspection items for materials, such as ultrasonic, penetration, magnetic particle inspection or other inspection items.
4. The inner and outer surfaces of the butt welding elbow should be derusted and coated with antirust oil.
5. In principle, the butt welding elbows that pass the inspection are not subject to pressure tests, but all joints with different diameters should pass the assessment of the hydraulic test in the system.

test:

1. The butt-welding elbow must not have cracks, overburning or other fillings that damage the strength and appearance, and the inner and outer surfaces should be smooth without scale.
2. The structural size and deviation of the butt-welding elbow shall be in accordance with the requirements of GB/T10752-1995 "Marine steel pipe butt-welding joint".
3. Ultrasonic or magnetic particle testing sampling inspection should be carried out on the butt welding elbow.
4. Sampling inspection is negotiated by the supply and demand sides, and each or each batch of finished butt welding elbows should have qualified product quality.
